The Phoenix is a bird that burns and is reborn.
But not all at once.
First it lies in ashes and believes that ashes are final.
This is how a stuck story feels.
But the Fool sits down beside the ashes and says, gently:
“Wait. There is heat here. There is something preparing.”
In story therapy, we do not rush rebirth.
We recognize it
when it begins.
